Our home eye tests can help to detect early signs of eye conditions allowing for timely intervention and treatment, to preserve vision. In addition to this, certain health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol can show its early signs through the eyes which is why we believe regular eye tests can help with the detection of overall health conditions. These checks can be provided to you from the comfort of your own home.

Our home eye tests are conducted by our friendly optometrists using portable and state of the art equipment in order to try and replicate what you would expect from an in-store eye test. Our eye tests start off with having a conversation with our optometrist about your eye health history and any eye health concerns you may be experiencing currently, this is followed by a vision check using an electronic test chart and working out whether glasses are needed or if there has been a change to your prescription.
The optometrist will also conduct as assessment to check how well your eye muscles are working together followed by a health check of the front and back of your eyes as well as checking the pressure in your eyes. These checks are completed as a standard across all our home tests.
Additional checks may also be carried out such as visual field testing or colour vision checks based on the initial conversation you have with our optometrist. The appointment is rounded off with a discussion where your optometrist will explain all their findings to you, if you have any further questions to ask at this point then our optometrist will be happy to discuss this with you.
Our home tests are adaptable to all environments therefore if there is a difficulty giving subjective responses, our experienced optometrists can conduct your eye test making use of objective checks. We are passionate about providing eye health services and therefore offer longer appointment times to ensure our patients do not feel rushed.
If glasses are needed to help you see more clearly in the distance, at near or both then our optometrist will help you select from our stylish range of glasses and can advise you on lens options.
If glasses have been selected then we will aim to hand deliver these within 21 days of the date they were ordered. Our optometrists will ensure you are happy with the fitting and the vision in them as well as answer any questions you may have before they leave.
We offer an extended aftercare service therefore, should your frames need any adjustments in the future or you have any queries, you can get in contact with our team who will be happy to assist you.
